"White Rifle’s James Tuppen II surely isn’t shooting in the dark. His thrashing guitars and earnest lyrics aim straight for the heart - and hit too." - Troi Irons

After years of honing a vision and sound amidst touring with bands around the world James Tuppen has grown from his influences of the millennium's greatest “emo-rock” bands to form a heavy-hitting, stone cold, project that retains the era’s heavy heartedness. Drawing from bands that have shown powerful emotion through song and live performance that started the mass “emo” movement in the early 2000’s.

White Rifle’s debut EP, No Love. was crafted with the production of  Saosin guitarist and songwriter, Beau Burchell in Southern California. The result was music that is modern, loud and hits you in the chest. As guitarist Layne Smith of Glass Beach puts it, "James has a way of channeling the soft-spoken, but passionate feelings of post-hardcore, metal, and emo into a swirl of powerful, and calming energy. With some opportunistic bursts of emotion that bring some heavy catharsis, it’s hard not to start chanting along the lyrics while head banging!”

White Rifle has recently released the newest single entitled, BLOOD that is an expression of struggling to express yourself when your world will ridicule you for your voice.

The band plans to begin live performances and touring in the light of the newest upcoming releases later in 2020. Follow White Rifle on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and subscribe to the email list to stay up to date.
